Operations for the optional wells exercised for “HAKURYU-5”

Japan Drilling Co., Ltd. (JDC) is pleased to announce that JDC, its subsidiary company “Hakuryu 5, Inc.” and its agent in Malaysia, NABA Drilling Sdn. Bhd. (“NABA”), have agreed JDC to provide additional drilling services to NABA by using a semi-submersible drilling rig “HAKURYU-5” for the optional wells exercised by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (“PCSB”) under the drilling contract that NABA signed with PCSB.

The amended period and the optional wells exercised are as follows:

1. Amended Period of Contract : 4 firm wells + 10 option wells (Original term: 4 firm wells + 6 option wells)

2. Exercised Optional Wells :4 optional wells out of 10 optional wells, i.e. 6 optional wells remaining
